Occupational Therapy in Delray Beach
In-home and virtual neuroaffirmative OT for kids, teens, and adults — across Delray Beach and the surrounding South Florida community.
Neuroaffirmative · Identity-first · LGBTQ+ welcoming · Never compliance-based
Delray Beach has become one of the most interesting communities in South Florida — Atlantic Avenue, the arts scene, top-tier schools, and a growing population of progressive families who actively seek out inclusive, identity-respecting care for their kids.
Ocean Tide Therapy is led by Stefanie Irmen, OTR/L, an occupational therapist licensed in Florida and Illinois. With 10+ years of experience across school-based, outpatient, and developmental settings, Stefanie specializes in neuroaffirmative care for clients of all ages.
In-home OT serves Delray Beach and surrounding Palm Beach communities including Highland Beach, Gulf Stream, and Atlantic Avenue neighborhoods. Virtual telehealth is also available throughout Florida.
Delray families are looking for therapy that respects who their kid actually is — not therapy designed to fit them into a default mold. That's the entire premise of Ocean Tide Therapy.

Do you actually see clients in Delray Beach?
Yes. We offer in-home occupational therapy across Delray Beach and the surrounding South Florida area, plus secure HIPAA-compliant telehealth throughout Florida. You choose what works for your family.
Is telehealth OT as effective as in-person?
For most goals we work on — sensory regulation, executive function, interoception, parent coaching, and adult neurodivergent support — both in-home and telehealth are strongly supported by research. The home setting often works better than a clinic because we're building skills in the actual environment where your family lives.
What insurance do you accept?
We are in-network with Aetna in Florida, and BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS) of Florida is coming soon. We also accept private pay, HSA/FSA, and provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. See our FAQ page for details.
