Virtual OT: What to Expect and Why It Actually Works

When people hear "virtual occupational therapy," the most common reaction is: how does that even work? OT seems so hands-on — how can a therapist help you from a screen?

Telehealth OT has been studied increasingly since 2020, and outcomes data is encouraging. A 2021 review in the American Journal of Occupational Therapy found that telehealth OT produced comparable outcomes to in-person care for many conditions, particularly for executive function, behavioral goals, and parent coaching.
